Medical Assistant Front Desk Receptionist Well respected, established private surgical practice with 3 Providers. Looking for a Medical Assistant Front Desk Medical Receptionist. The position is 4 days per week to start and may increase to 5 days. The practice is located in the Hillcrest area close to Scripps Mercy Hospital. This position is a permanent position. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 to start and may increase to Monday ? Friday after training. Requirements:? One or more years recent work experience and / or training as a Medical Receptionist in a private practice Doctors office or clinic.? Knowledge and experience with patient medical insurance plans and how to obtain insurance verification.? Organized and self-motivated. ? Excellent verbal & written English language communication skills.? Strong commitment to first class customer service.Responsibilities:? Answer and triage phone calls, take messages and schedule appointments.? Check patients in and out at Front Desk and schedule follow up visits? Check patient insurance and collect copayments. ? Provide a professional and friendly experience in the Receptionist area for patients, their families and also vendors.? Work as a team player with other staff members and willing to help in other areas as needed. ? Other duties may be assigned by Doctors or Office Manager. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The rate of pay is $11.00 ? 13.00 hr. to start based on experience.
