Plastic Surgery Medical Assistant This is an excellent opportunity with a well respected and talented Plastic Surgeon. The Doctor specializes in reconstructive surgery with some cosmetic procedures too. He is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant for a variety of duties including both Front Office and Back Office in a small private practice setting. 2 positions open ? one is full ?time Monday ? Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and one is part ? time Monday ? Thursday 8:30 to 5:00 pm with the possibility of full time hours within 6 ? 12 months Requirements:? Medical Assistant certificate.? 3 or more years work experience as a Medical Assistant and Medical Receptionist in a private practice or clinic.? Administrative skills to support Physician with correspondence, records and insurance authorizations.? Strong commitment to first class customer service. ? Excellent verbal & written English language communication skills.? Knowledge and experience with HMO & PPO insurance plans.Responsibilities:? Front Desk responsibilities include answering phones, screening and triage calls, taking messages, helping patients, scheduling appointments.? Patient check in and out at the Front Desk.? Checking patient insurance, insurance authorizations and collecting payments.? Surgery scheduling.? Pulling, filing and managing patient charts.? Providing a professional, supportive and friendly experience on the telephones and in the office for patients and other visitors.? Back Office duties include rooming patients, preparing rooms for Doctor and patients, and stocking supplies.? Calling in prescriptions and prescription refills.? Other duties may be assigned by Doctor and Office Manager. The rate of pay is $[removed phone] hr. to start. Health insurance, paid holidays and vacation pay.
